Bid Package for 2013 Road Resurfacing Program

Purpose/Need: Resurfacing our existing county roads and various township and municipal roads to improve the safety of the motoring public.
Action Necessary: Advertisement of Legal notice to obtain bids for the resurfacing of roads. Advertising for a total of 2 weeks with the legal notice advertised on June 6th and also placed on the County website. Bid opening to be on June 20th, 2013.
History of Project: This project is our annual resurfacing program. Various agreements have been entered into between the Board of County Commissioners and various townships and municipalities. These additional roads are also included in our bid package. The following is a list of included townships and municipalities that are included with associated costs:
Village of Amelia: $71,582.00
Batavia Township: $251,033.00
City of Milford: $165,000.00
Goshen Township: $84,564.00
Jackson Township: $59,675.00
Miami Township: $461,258.00
Village of Moscow: $22,138.00
Village of New Richmond: $50,886.00
Pierce Township: $66,976.80
Stonelick Township: $51,576.00
Union Township: $275,925.00
Washington Township: $29,824.00
Wayne Township: $104,057.00
Williamsburg Township: $50,872.00
Village of Williamsburg: $23,790.00
Costs: The estimated construction cost is $3,389,894. This project will be funded with MVG funds and from various townships and municipalities listed above.
Expected Outcomes: Resurfacing and repair of approximately 30 miles of Roadway.
Time Period: The completion date for this project is set at November 15, 2013
