PURPOSE/NEED:

This project will replace the beams on the Spring Grove Road Bridge (C114-0.43) and repair any other damage on the bridge, located in Tate Township

ACTION NECESSARY:

Advertisement of Legal notice to obtain bids on Bid Express for this bridge project. The legal notice will be advertised in Clermont Sun on April 16, 2026, and will be placed on the County website. Bid opening to be on April 30, 2026.

HISTORY OF PROJECT:

The bridges currently require a deck replacement due to deterioration and structural concerns. The existing beams have experienced cracking, exposed reinforcing steel, and broken prestressed steel cables, resulting in reduced structural integrity and concerns for the traveling public. An application was filed with OPWC in September of 2024. The OPWC application and agreement authorization was approved by the Board on 8/9/2024, and the County Engineer executed the Grant Agreement on July 1, 2025.

Rehabilitate the existing bridge and repair the roadway on Spring Grove Road (C114).

TIME PERIOD:

Project is to be completed by November 20, 2026.
