2022 Road Resurfacing Program, RS-01-22

Purpose/Need: Resurfacing our existing County, Township and Village Roads to improve the safety of the motoring public.
Action Necessary: Advertisement of Legal notice to obtain bids for the resurfacing of roads. Advertising for a total of 2 weeks with the legal notice advertised on March 3rd and also placed on the County website. Bid opening to be on March 17, 2022.
History of Project: This project is our annual resurfacing program. The “plans”, as defined in section 200.1 of the General Provisions, are included in section V of the Bid Documents. This project will also have roads from Batavia, Pierce and Williamsburg Township as well as the Village of Williamsburg and Moscow.
Engineers Office Roads: 44.45 miles resurfaced and 17.2 miles repaired.
Batavia Twp Roads: 3.0 miles resurfaced
Pierce Twp Roads: 5.27 miles resurfaced
Williamsburg Twp Roads: 1.96 miles resurfaced
Village of Williamsburg Roads: 0.65 miles resurfaced
Village of Moscow Roads: 0.329 miles resurfaced
Clermont Water Resources: 1.306 miles resurfaced (treatment plant and lift station access roads)
Costs: The estimated construction cost is $7,637,631.00. This project will be funded with MVG funds, ARPA Fiscal Recovery “Lost Revenue” funds, Batavia, Pierce and Williamsburg Townships and Villages of Williamsburg and Moscow.
Engineers Office Roads: $6,198,303.96 (MVG and $4,000,000 ARPA funds)
Batavia Twp Roads: $265,385.50
Pierce Twp Roads: $625,111.94
Williamsburg Twp Roads: $150,144.50
Village of Williamsburg Roads: $103,600.50
Village of Moscow Roads: $37,608.30
Clermont Water Resources: $257,020.30
Expected Outcomes: Resurfacing 57 miles and repairing 17 miles of Roadway.
Time Period: The completion date for this project is set at November 18, 2022
